Donald Kettl was the Sid Richardson Professor at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in public management and public policy. He previously served as the Dean in the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland. He holds a PhD in political science from Yale University. His research interests include government management and organization, federalism, and budgeting and US politics.
