If you wish to hone your problem-solving skills and go on to make a real difference in improving human well-being locally, nationally, and globally, Penn's International Master of Public Administration (I-MPA) is designed to educate and nurture present and future problem-solving leaders.
Innovative and skills-based, the I-MPA is led by a distinctively interdisciplinary, multinational, and multilingual team of world-class scholars and noted leaders in government, business, and the nonprofit sector. As a Penn I-MPA student, you complete intensive and exciting coursework in three capacities: as individuals, as members of a Leadership Task Group, and as collaborators in class-wide exercises and projects. In the summer immediately following graduation, I-MPA program alumni may be eligible for summer research and service fellowship awards of up to $6,000.
The Penn I-MPA is for students who have proficiency in English as well as any one or more of the following three languages: Hindi, Mandarin, or Swahili—and wish to:
- Earn a Master of Public Administration from an Ivy League university
- Pursue the degree alongside other I-MPA students on campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
- Enroll full-time and complete nine courses in one year, including 3 capstone courses—one individual, one small-group, and one class-wide
- Receive year-long, robust, individualized academic advising and career mentoring
- Participate in extra-curricular experiences including special events and distinguished speakers series
