Dr. Jason Dana is a Professor of Practice in Behavioral and Decision Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. His research lies in the area of judgment and decision making and has examined diverse topics such as how people make giving decisions, how they navigate conflicts of interest, lying for personal gain, better statistical estimators for experimental research, and factors that make crowds and markets wise. His current research interests are in lay economic reasoning: how and why laypeople's reasoning about economic phenomena differs from that of experts, and why that is important.
