Course Description
This course explores strategies for leaders, regardless of identity and organizational position to create diverse, equitable, and inclusive organizations amidst today's polarized landscape. Participants will explore the fundamentals of culture change, while delving into the practical aspects of implementing and assessing diversity, equity and inclusion programs, honing inclusive leadership skills, and the impact of polarization on organizational cultural transformation. The course will provide an overview of relevant social science research, organizational development literature, case studies, and current best practices in the marketplace.  At the completion of the course, students will be able to: 

·       Identify Key Concepts: Understand essential concepts in diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and organizational culture, and analyze how identity and social inequality impact these areas.


·       Hone Inclusive Leadership Skills: Relate personal and professional experiences to broader DEI narratives, developing skills to navigate diverse perspectives, promote equity, foster psychological safety, and address biases within teams and organizations.


·       Develop, and Assess Culture Change Programs: Design, execute, and evaluate effective DEI programs within organizations, utilizing evidence-based strategies and best practices to enhance outcomes even in polarizing environments.


·       Apply Research and Best Practices: Leverage insights from social science research, organizational development literature, case studies, and current market best practices to inform DEI efforts and organizational change initiatives.
