Tim Richards teaches at the University of Pennsylvania and consults on business strategies for engagement with international governments. He retired from the General Electric Company in early 2019 after a 23-year GE career. For his final two years at GE, Tim was responsible for all international government affairs. Other GE leadership roles included energy policy and government affairs in the Middle East, North Africa region, based in Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining GE, Tim spent eight years with the Office of the United States Trade Representative.

Tim is the co-author of Intellectual Property Rights: Global Conflict, Global Consensus. He is a graduate of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and of Bowdoin College.
