Course Description
In many cases, decisions are not carried out in isolation, but in a social context. These could be decisions that affect other people besides the decision maker, decisions made by groups, and decisions that are shaped by others' actions. In this seminar we will discuss different aspects of social decisions, and the way they are shaped by psychological and environmental factors. We will discuss strategic interactions, information sharing, social motivations, value alignment and empathic interactions. We will also discuss wisdom of crowds, social norms and culture. Finally, we will discuss human-AI decision making. The seminar will include discussions focused on academic papers, and the development of experimental designs to be tested in human, based on emirica.ly platform, and experiments and LLM, based on Concordia platform.
