The Capstone Forum gives Master of Liberal Arts graduates an opportunity to present their capstone research. The capstone project is the culmination of the MLA student's multidisciplinary graduate study at the University of Pennsylvania. By integrating two or more academic disciplines into a capstone project, each student reflects the mission of the MLA program itself: to provide a place for students to create their own graduate concentrations across the arts and sciences.
We invite you to join us online and hear a select group of recent MLA graduates speak about their MLA capstone projects. Presenters share excerpts and discuss how their topics were developed, how their projects relate to their interdisciplinary degree concentrations, and how their coursework prepared them for the final project. Each presentation will be followed by a short discussion.
Topics range across the liberal arts; this year’s projects include a fascinating inquiry into medical guidelines for standards of care in the United States and an exploration of redlining and disinvestment in urban communities. Please join us and learn more about our MLA capstone projects.
Virtual Information Session: A link to the session website will be sent to you via email on the day of the event.
