Course Description
Applied and Environmental Geophysics focuses on the use of geophysical methods to investigate shallow subsurface structure and physical properties of the Earth. Students explore techniques such as gravity, seismic refraction and reflection, electrical resistivity, magnetic, electromagnetic, ground-penetrating radar, and borehole logging for environmental site characterization, groundwater exploration, buried structure detection, and geotechnical hazard assessment.
