Hollywood is taking a hit this year as the COVID-19 pandemic presses on much longer than expected. Production, screenings, and showings have been impacted, and actors and crews have been left jobless, with no concrete signs of a much-needed rebound.

Applying to grad school is stressful enough on its own. Factor in the ever-changing global pandemic and the uncertainty of universities’ plans to help stop the spread, and the application process becomes even more uncharted.

The health of the Delaware River has improved dramatically over the past 50 years, so much so that the environmental organization American Rivers named the Delaware its 2020 River of the Year. Now, two students from the master's programs in earth and environmental science are part of a project by the Water Center at Penn to research how to make the river even cleaner so it can be safe for swimming.
